Childrenwear Purchasing Manager
Responsabilities
Formulating purchasing policies and strategies ( evaluation of supplier skills and production capacity )
Identifying new or alternative sources of supply
Ensure vendor compliance with Company specifications.
Represents the Company in negotiations with suppliers
Co-ordinating with other companies functions ( R&D , Planning , QA )
Handling claims with suppliers
Directing and coordinating all aspects of the purchasing process
Reviews organization and staffing and development plans to ensure that they are consistent and adequate for attainment of the division goals.
requirements
Good technical knowledge about textile garment ( quality of materials , cost of material, production processes, timing)
Excellent organizational and leadership skills with proven negotiation skills.
Experience working and managing in a short time , production active environment.
Proficiency in procuring trade show materials
Coordinating first inspections with suppliers to determine ability to meet Company requirements.
Competent in the use of standard software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel and operate standard office equipment, and has experience with company wide ERP systems and reporting tools.
Analyse datas and arrange formal presentations to small or large groups.
Must be detail oriented and have logical thought processes.
Ability to work with and informally influence all levels of the organization including senior managers, project leaders, work unit leaders, and support personnel.
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally Purchasing
FLUENT IN ENGLISH - ITALIAN AND MANDARIN APPRECIATED
